These products interface to System 1* software via the Trendmaster* Pro asset scanning network architecture and provide either single-channel or four-channel input capabilities. The system addresses basic machinery protection functionality for assets where only a few measurement points are required and for which a rack-based system such as 3300 or 3500 is not appropriate.

Released in 1998, this system offers very tight integration with control and automation platforms and is typically used in applications that would have previously been addressed with the 2201 series system. It is designed to act as intelligent I/O blocks that are distributed around the machine skid, communicating via a wide variety of industry-standard protocols back to a central controller such as a PLC or turbine control system.
